June

– from June 1 to June 14, Monday to Friday – transport by prior arrangement at least one day in advance

– Saturdays and Sundays – from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

– from June 15 to June 30 – operating daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

July and August

– operating daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

September

– Monday to Friday – transport by prior arrangement at least one day in advance

– Saturdays, Sundays + public holidays – from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

October

– Monday to Friday – transport by prior arrangement at least one day in advance

– Saturdays, Sundays + public holidays – from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Departure times:

a) To the opposite bank – every hour on the hour – on call/request.

b) Transport to Karlův Hrádek and the via ferratas (A, B, C) by arrangement/booking – departure after passengers to the opposite bank have been served – i.e., 10:15 AM, 11:15 AM, etc. – cruise duration 30 min.
If the ferry has no bookings for Karlův Hrádek/ferratas, individuals can be transported at any time during ferry operating hours by calling +420 602 834 708.
Group bookings must be made 1 day in advance. Earlier or later times by booking one day in advance or by arrangement. No later than dusk.

Ferry fares are contractual and may change during the season:

The minimum amount for transport to or from Karlův Hrádek or the via ferrata is 500 CZK (if you want round-trip transport, it is 1,000 CZK) – one-way cruise – the boat then returns to Purkarec. If the number of people exceeds this amount, the price is calculated per person according to the price list.

Travel for persons under 15 years without adult supervision is prohibited.

The ferry departs/arrives only at the boarding piers located at:

Purkarec – left bank of the Vltava – below the U Anděla Purkarec guesthouse – permanent mooring from which the ferry departs (or the Purkarec public pier under ideal sailing conditions)

right bank of the Vltava – a small pier next to the campsite, from which a path leads to Kostelec. Those interested from the Kostelec side should wait visibly at the boarding pier at the agreed transport time.

The maximum number of persons on the vessel must not exceed the maximum permitted occupancy according to the ship’s certificate. Ferry capacity: ferryman + max. 12 persons, or 5 persons + 5 bicycles; max. load capacity of the boat is 900 kg. The number of persons and bicycles is determined by the ferryman at his discretion.

The ferry boat transports only pedestrians and cyclists, who load their own equipment.

The boat is not wheelchair accessible.

Transport of animals is only possible following safety measures and by arrangement with the ferryman. If several passengers with animals gather, a muzzle may be required.

Operation or departure time may be canceled if: the ferryman deems the sailing conditions unsuitable or dangerous, e.g., increased flow, strong wind, adverse meteorological conditions, etc.
