About Us

Jihočeská Plavební was founded in 2009. In 2017, the company split into Jihočeská plavební společnost s.r.o., which operates regular passenger boat transport, and Machart Marine – David Machart, providing maintenance services for professional and recreational shipping.

Excursion boat transport, cruises, and sightseeing tours have been traditionally operated for many years in this peaceful town intersected by the Vltava River. A small boat named Regent and the historic passenger ship Pálava (AGNES), originally from Hamburg, are ready for visitors. The boats set sail on excursion routes to the confluence of the Vltava and Lužnice rivers and further to the Kořensko reservoir and back. Cruises run regularly according to the timetable.

In Hluboká nad Vltavou, a boat trip across the Munický Pond to the Hluboká Zoo awaits you, either in the form of a ferry from Hluboká nad Vltavou or a sightseeing cruise on the surface of the Munický Pond, where you have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Hluboká Castle and the surrounding nature.

In Týn nad Vltavou, you will find us just a few steps from the town center, specifically below the church, where the central parking lot is also located, which is connected to the boat pier – this is where the Regent and Pálava boats are moored from May until the end of October.

The town lies in close proximity to the spot where the Lužnice River flows into the Vltava. The water level of the Vltava in Týn nad Vltavou is maintained by the Kořensko dam, which is part of the Vltava Cascade. It is located approximately 4.5 km downstream from Týn nad Vltavou. Below this dam, the backwaters of the Orlík reservoir already begin.

From the decks of our purely sightseeing boats, which are already a tradition here on the Vltava River and fit perfectly into these surroundings, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the local natural beauty. Through our boats, the natural wonders of the Vltava and Lužnice rivers are right at your fingertips.
